car wouldn't start, pulled the plugs, covered in oil.....where should i start my problem solving?

 

I see this all of the time at work. It's either the spark plug well seals in valve cover or the tube seals(1/2 way down spark plug tube) or both. The well seals are quick and easy, just pull the valve cover and replace them. The tube seals will require removing the vavle train assembly bolted down over your cam.

 

you are talking about oil on the porcelin side of the plug right?
