Default Deciding on what rim/tire combo to run

hay everyone...well im not new to the drag racing scene...but i am new to my new setup...i was boosted last year and had great success with the 23inch M&H on a 15inch rim. ran a best of 10.9@134...i wanted to try something different and give it a swing at the all motor side of the import world...yea i know why go to a slower setup. but i really wanted to see what its like..

well now to my question: i need advice on what the ideal rim and tire size would be for my new setup.

car is a 93 cx hatch
its a 2.0ltr. b that made 250whp
it has stock lsd itr trans with the 4.4 final drive
stock axles
my suspension of choice is PIC APEX spring rate of 10k front 12k rear
car is gutted should weigh in at about 1600 to 1800

i know all that comes in play on choosing the right slick and rim
i have done some research and found that alot of the guys are changing from a 13inch rim to a 15inch rim...dont know why i figured smaller rim less weight..but who knows

what would be a better selection for my setup
24.5x8x13
23x8x13
24.5x8x15
23x8x15

i know that if you have a big side wall you tend to break more ****...so would a 24.5 be to big...or just enough.. i pre-load my trans so i know how to properly launch but i dont want to have to go threw axles every event bc of a big tire...

or if you have had success with a diff rim/tire setup please let me know
all help is greatly appreciated

You also need to take into consideration your rev limit as well as where your peak power occurs. The weight you specified, that is a very wide spectrum. I would have the car weighed wet with you sitting in the drivers seat. I would be more inclined to it weighing closer to 1950-2000 lbs. unless you have extensive body modification ( 1 piece front, solid rear axle) But anyway back on topic for 250whp I would choose the 23x8x13. The 13 will give you more sidewall than the 15.
