D series alternator on a B series

D series alternator on a B series

I searched and couldn't find any info? Anybody know if it will work? The reason i ask is because my cv boot tore and it threw grease all over this alternator. Now I just rebuilt the b series and I got a D series alternator laying around thats nice and clean. Any info would be great.

just clean the old one. Not only will it not mount the d has 3ribbed pulley and the b has a 4ribbed pulley and you can't swap since the shaft size is different

wont work a b-series alternator is cheap though like 45 bucks

It does to work, I have it running on my 4 door with an LS right now, You just swap the pulley on it. It cost me $5 instead of buying a new alternator.
