I have a 1st gen b16 and I am swapping the IM to a 2nd gen. Theres is no location on the manifold for the fitv like on the original, is it located under the TB on the 2nd gens?

I'm assuming it will run like crap witout it, or can I just forget about it?

bumpity anyone? Can I run without it? Of course I'd have to loop the 2 extra coolant lines....

Its like Ima talking to ma-self. just need to know how screwed up my startup idle will be without it really, and if the 92-95 throttle bodies have the fitv on them instead of the IM....

 

If it is anything like the Z6 IM, then yes, it is on the bottom of the TB. Look for a football-shaped brass plate with two screws facing the firewall. Inside there is the FITV.

 

Thats what I thought.... I'll see if I can find a TB I guess
