Default H&R OE sports vs. Neuspeed Sof Sport springs.

both lower the car .75 inches, but which one is stiffer? How do they work with stock shocks? What after market shocks work well with these springs?

(if anyone has a set for 92-95 civic email me ajmessing@aol.com)

The H&Rs are stiffer, and to answer everyone's question about this neverending subject:

YOUR STOCK SHOCKS/STRUTS WILL NOT HANDLE A HIGHER-RATE SPRING!!!

So if y'll want to do things right the first time, do yourselves a favor and change your shocks/struts to highperformance units while you're in there!

About which kind of shocks, Tokico Blues are tried and true, as are the Whites but much cheaper. Konis are always a great bet for a nice firm ride. In my opinion the KYB AGXs are an excellent value but a bit harsh under some conditions. KYB GR-2s are NOT high-performance shocks. There are only factory replacements.

I've heard that H&R makes the neuspeed spings..
I used to have the neuspeed sofsport springs and illuminas.. and later changed to the sport springs. Now I wish I would have bought ground controls

H&R used to make Neuspeed springs, but they don't anymore.

H&Rs own all others.

It depends on chasis weight as well.

I have Neuspeed Sports on Stock shocks for 50,000 miles. On my HX it felt perfect. On the EX, they feel a little too soft (shocks).

THe sports are rated at 300/190 lbs.

here is another question I have,

if shocks and springs are changed, what would I have to buy to save time of taking the old shocks apart? I guess another way to ask this is what would I have to take off the old shock & spring setup to put on to the new shock and spring set up?

I would go with Bilsteins....or Koni Yellows if you want adjustability.

I would have to deouble check on what is swapable...give the company a ring...
