Just want to know this. I have had both on the key ring for about a week. I was just looking at the manual. I also dont know if it was used in the ignition. Motors not in the car if that matters.

But according to the literature the red key can mess the car up? True? Or Honda bullshit?

 

what does red usually mean?
dont use it its for clearing your immobilizer code. then you have to take it to the dealer to get it fixed

I dont know if its been used in it. There is currently no motor in the car, any way that I could tell if its mesed up before hand?

Not really. If when you put the motor back in and it won't turn over, see if the little green key light in the cluster is flashing. If it is, then you need to tow the car to the dealer and have them reprogram it
