Default question for auto to manual guys

With a civic lx will the dx peadal assembly work? My lx has cruise control i've been told they are all the same but have also read they are not? Also what actually controls the cruise control. i'm going to be swaping in a dx motor that does'nt have cruise so that will probally just eliminate the cruise all together. Now if i do that what do i do with the wires that controlled the cruise control, and will that throw a code at me? These are the last few questions i have before i do the swap, i just picked up my ef sedan tonight and its pretty damn clean foe a mn car, i'm pupmed! and yes i've been to the faq and read it over.

I have cruise from my LX auto - converted to manual.
The pedals are the same, but IIRC the accelerator CABLE has a different way to hook up to the pedal. I ended up swapping the pedals out and kept my super long stock cable.

You won't get a code for taking out CC if you go that route. You can keep it on there if you want to though - still works.
