I got a CRX parts car that came with a D16z6 running obd1
I also got a 1990 Civic DX which im planting a B18a1 (currently obd0, but want it obd1)
The Civics harness has the headlight plugs cut off, and the mpfi converison wasnt done the nicest. So i figured it would be a better idea to just throw all of the wiring (dash/body/main harness and the engine harness and the obd conversion harness) from the CRX to the Civic.
This question has nothing to do with the work involved into taking out the old body harness and throwing the new in, its just about will it work or not
(yes ill be using the push button climate control, but most likely will keep the civic dash. i have both a 88 and a 90 civic dash, i rather keep the 90 if possible)

anything can work if you put time into doing it right, if you take out the entire harness and strip it right down to the shell im sure you can subplant the crx harness into the civic. but since you have the donor car to pick parts off of you can swap everything you would need/encounter.

nice to see ur from bc, same city too! anyways ur answer isnt what i was looking for, i obviously will be stripping them both down and throwing in the heater core and what not because its a bit different (push buttom control) but i was wondering about differences that one might over look. just wondering if anyone that has done it
thanks for the bump tho

well the dash harness for one will have some minor differences, if you can use the crx dash then go for it, if you want to stick with civic dash then i recommend the 89 civic dash for the plugs, im sure someone on here has done it and hopefully chimes in. but if you have the entire crx donor car i dont foresee any problems, once you strip the civic down to the bare shell transfer everything over from the crx you should be fine....why dont you attempt it, take lots of pics and post them, then when you encounter a problem im sure we can help you out.

yeah thats my plan, just figured id at least try to get an answer b4 doing it, and i dont think i wanna use the crx dash, i cant stand a car without cupholders. and after a while the 90 style dash (the cluster hood) grew on me. but if i gotta use the 88s thats fine too since i have both
