Default Valve spring/Retainer question

I have a stock b16 head and I bought some ITR cams that I would like to put in. Now I know I want to upgrade the valvetrain to accommodate the additional revs I am pursuing so I bought some supertech dual valvesprings for dirt cheap from a guy locally. Would it be ok to run the dual valvesprings with the ITR cams and stock retainers or are upgraded retainers a necessity? Thank you in advance.

You should be fine with the stock retainers.

Thanks Steve, not doubting your answer but a second opinion always helps, so anyone else?

Has anyone had any bad experiences running dual valvesprings without aftermarket retainers?
