two 12" audiobahn aluminum 1000watt subs-What Amp(s)?
if it matters..i have a 2000 acura integra 2door...
with some sort of pioneer premiere head unit that came with the car.
i think the component speakers are stock.
i also have two 12" audiobahn aluminum subs...
they say "1000 watts" on the back of em.
i think they are the 2000 or 2001 model...i got em like 1-2 years ago.
they've been sitting around and now i finally think i have enough money
saved up to get an amp. i wanna put both in a sealed box...since i'm
assuming it would hit harder in a sealed box (from what people tell me)
so what kind of amp or amps should i get?
pls help me i really don't know jack when it comes to audio stuff.
thanks. (i'm in so cali if anyone wants to recommend a shop)

if they r rated at 4 ohms each, i'd get a mono amp n wire the speakers in 2 ohm

i'd go ahead n buy one of those mono amps...u can wire the subs in series n parallel.... here u go...
wire one of subs to 12 ohms, connect the positive(+) to the negative(-) of the other connector, n vice versa( this is runnin in series)
wire the other sub to 3 ohms, connect the positive(+) to the positive(+) of the other connector, n connect the negative(-) to the negative(-) of the other
wire the two subs together to 2.4 ohms...connect the positive(+) of one sub to the positive(+) of the other sub, n connect the negative(-) to the negative(-) of the other
here's a good page for ya

go to How do I wire TWO DVC Woofers?
http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/2dvc.html
now get a multimeter or digital meter n measure the ohms...turn the switch to the icon that looks like a horse shoe n tune it to a number like 20 or 10
i should b around 2.~ ohms
12*3/(12+3) = 2.4
