Scott, I really cannot explain how inspiring it is to see you and your dad out there with the car. It takes any of my own doubts right out of the equation and gives me the chills

Keep it up!! Awesome vids, and the car sounds so good!

OK, to answer a few of the questions ...
The camera is just a hand held JVC video cam with a bar mount holder that I got at a camera shop. It has been an adjustment working with the sportsman tree but I am adapting. The thing that really has bit me is I have been breaking out by only a couple hundredths. The car for whatever reason picks up just a little bit more than we are expecting during eliminations putting me on the trailer.
What has been really different is the amount of tech you have to go through at an NHRA National or Divisional. They don't just rubber stamp cars through they look at EVERYTHING right down to every zip tie and hose clamp and don’t let you run until you meet their standards. Then if you are fortunate enough to set a record in your class then comes the teardown. It took us no less than 4 hours to get through all the necessary tests.

That's the way tech SHOULD be. I personally like it that way. That way you know everyone is legal and to the same standard.
Thanks Scott and good luck bud.

on your engine, you shouldnt have to pull the head off though. they should be able to take their measurements of the cylinder without removing the head. so that will be easy, haha.
depends what division, i know div 6 tech has it for sure. it sure saved us a lot of time and hassle....and headgaskets, haha.
they need to invest in some more since you all motor guys are going to start whooping some dinosaurs

I totally agree! AND yes it has been fun putting a whooping on V8's heads up and then having to spot them during eliminations. My favorite so far was a Mopar with a 440 six pack and I had to spot him 6 tenths ... I ran him down but broke out by .02 hundreths. Dad said it brought the crowd to their feet! Very fun ...
