Okay so I' not much of a honda guy so help me out. Okay I am currently station in Japan and I was looking at cars ae86,s15 silvia, and Sti but out of know where I find a 98 itr for pre 3k well since it is suck a good deal I am picking it up tomorrow but I don't know much about these cars. Also I don't know any where that sell aftermarket Honda parts in japan so I'm probably going to have to order all my parts from the states. My main question is how much boost can this engine hold with good fuel supply and does any one know and good Japanese companies that sell itr parts. Not a car noob just don't know much about these car never took interest in one till I came across this deal.

Yea I am a noob to hondas. Don't really dig the hole 4 cylinder thing but due to the fact I got stationed in japan which sucks I don't really have to option to find a nice V8 car that's not extremely over price I figure I will buy what ever is cheap. This car is just a cheap beater to get around the island in when I leave here I will probably part it out and junk it. I just want to have a little fun with it while I'm here. I had a honda almost keep up with my vette one time so I know they can be some what quick if only I had the time and money to do a v8 rear wheel drive setup. Going from 514whp corvette to a 100whp integra will be a change.

Thanks pandaman I was wondering about parts because I never seen hondas over here with aftermarket parts there all mostly stock except the y plates(Americans) cars. So if I order my parts from the states would it take me 3 months to get my part here to japan. I was thinking of doing a dodge srt-4 swap since I know a little more about those engines I could tune on e85 run crank the boost up. Does the b18c have decent potential?

Where are you stationed? Okinawa? That would be quite the trip to head to Tokyo, which is where most of the Honda tuning shops are. If you are looking to boost the Integra, you wont find much help over there. Most of the shops I've been to in Japan do more suspension/brake/breathing modifications. If you are set on boosting a car for big power, I would hold off and find an R32 GTR, FD3 RX7, Supra RZ, EVO 3 thru 5, STi...etc. I saw a few R32 GTR's under 500,000 JPY (~$5000 USD) on my last visit.
Type-One is actually the place you want to go if you are looking for Spoon parts in Japan. If you go to Spoon Sports, it is an office building. Type-One is the performance shop for Spoon Sports.

I would make an effort to see M & M Honda if you are looking for good performance parts:

What do you mean part it out and junk it? I know your a v8 guy but you gotta appreciate what you have. A RHD type R isn't the same as an everyday civic yah no. When you move back contact me, I will take it off your hands and you won't have to take it apart.

sounds like its gonna be a waste of yen.
you might be a V8 guy right now...but you will come to appreciate and love you're ITR, and you are in the mecca of honda parts!! you have the potential to build a car that most of us in the states could only dream about.
if you order anything from the staes you are wasting your money.

Are you planning on doing the build while in Japan or after you get back to the States?
The reason there are so many used vehicles and very little modified cars is that it is EXTREMELY expensive to insure a vehicle in Japan. Used vehicles are taxed heavily too. Most modifications (esp exhaust) are strictly controlled.

i agree on finding a skyline if you want a fast boosted car. as someone who's driven both a c5 z06 and also the dc2 integra chassis. the vette is faster, pulls more G's. the teg is balanced, fun, better MPG and something you won't be working on. i'd honestly keep it stock or get a skyline. 11:1 compression is stock on that ITR you have which makes boosting that much harder without really high octane gas. the rx7 is another solid choice. i'd ask yourself what you really want before you blow the yen
For one, get off the rock that is Okinawa and hit up mainland Japan so you can actually enjoy something over there. :p I know, easier said than done in your case.
For two, the ITR will make like 180whp. Give it some credit. lol And with a nice set of tires, you'll be more than please with its cornering and braking capabilities. Hell, just the overall feel of it if it's in good condition.

this topic is pointless and he doesn't really need any help at all lol~~ don't waste the ITR my friend! just go for something else with really "cheap" in price there.

Well I was trying to get info on these cars and where to get good part for them. I am a V8 lover but due to the fact I got stationed in japan I kinda have to get around here. I hate the skylines everyone here has one and you come to realize they are very overrated not unless it's a gtr. But I found this car cheap and my friend talk me into buying it but I can't figure out the big deal with theses cars and I know very little on them besides they have like 15 more horses than a regular non vtec integra. I just want some info. Like what make them so special and why are parts so expensive for them.
