I need some tranny gods.....I have an SiR JDM B16 cable operated tranny..It currently grinds in third gear and I believe that the bearings are going bad as well....was thinking of rebuilding this myself...just don't know where to get the bearings and synchros....also was wondering if the lsd diff will go in a hydro trany...I was thinking of going to hydro instead but I wanna keep my LSD..thanks

 

you should try the transmission forum. i posted there asking the same question/procedure about rebuilding my J1 tranny, pretty helpful

 

when I did my rebuild I got all my stuff from http://www.gear-speed.com/. They sell carbon coated syncros as well as the bearings. You just need to know the exact model transmission you have because the syncros can vary from y1, s1, j1, and ys1. also jdm and usdm can be different. Just tell them what you have and they will know what to send you.

Unfortunatly for the LSD it would not fit in a hydro tranny unless your transmission is from a 92-93 gsr. but if you really wanted to go with a hydro trans im sure someone on here would love to buy yours off you with that lsd.

 

Gear speed is probably your best bet like said above, or you can convert to Hydro....
