Default Shaving back wheel pad to change offset?????help!!

im sure some of you have had or heard of someone shaving the back of your wheel to change the offset to make it for example (make a 45et to a 55et) my question is what are some of your thoughts on this? and does anyone know where to have this done? thanks guys lmk

I wouldn't shave more than 1-5mm, because you're ruining the structural integrity of the wheel.

not possible

most i have ever shaved off of a rim was 5mm and the hub was pretty large.

As with most things, there is a right way to do things, and a wrong way to do things. If you make one mistake that causes a problem, fix the mistake, don't just make a second mistake to work around it.

If your wheels stick out too much, they don't fit. The right way to deal with it is to get wheels that are manufactured with the proper offset for your car. Don't make a second mistake by shaving your wheels and reducing their structural integrity.
