Is there one in this year accord? Problem is engine knocking.

Could it be oil pump, valves adjustment, etc

Looking at buying another CD but want to know what I'm getting myself into before I do so. Guy wants $1500 for it. Going to offer him $800. His ad says car may need new F22 engine and oil pan replacement. I haven't went to see it yet but just want to check. Car was also just painted so I think it may have been in an accident.

I told him I could tell if it was bondo'd by knocking on certain parts of the car and then he said "When I bought it the owner bondo'd the back bumper to the car but I was too lazy to fix it. He said bought the car primered and then said that he didn't like the beige so that's why he painted it. Does primer even come in beige?

 

By the way I'm handy and plan to do some work on the car myself if I buy it. Just want some of you guys input on this. Thanks guys.

well might be worth it if you want to take the time and get it for a song and swap out for a JDM engine. or while at it upgrade to a h22 or something. just depends if you have the space, money and know how. other wise if you shop around might be able to do it all for a good deal and at least you know the engine and/or tranny only has 30-50k miles on it
