ok so i been having problem with my new 98 coupe ex...

so i figured out that that someone have did a swap too a
d16z6 im guessing that it had a d16y8 bfor..

so it had the wronge ecu i did the ecu swap to a p28..

and now i know i have the wronge dizzy because the holes from
the dizzy dont even line up with the holes in the housing where the distributor bolts up too.

so now i got the correct distributor for a d16z6 and it bolts up perfect,
but now the wirring from the distributor to the the wirring from the harness of the engine is different look.

this is the old dizzy connector:

I generally disassemble both distributors and swap the CYP/CKP/TDC sensors.

 

but i know that the other dizzy is a non vtec so by changing the:CYP/CKP/TDC sensors.
whould the dizzy still be a vtec dizzy or what make the vtec dizzy a vtec?

 

Theres nothing special about a vtec distributor from an electrical standpoint, literally the only difference is the mounting flange.
