D16W1 - will any D-series engine fit?
Hi all, it's been a while...lots of changes since I was last here!
Anyway back to my question:
I've a 2002 HRV 1.6 2wd in the garage needing a new engine; constant ***** out driving + lack of oil = bang.
Basically the problem is they're a rare enough beast in these parts and breakers even more so. I'm wondering if I get another D-series engine will it mount up? I'm not overly worried about performance etc, it's just a matter of getting the thing going again. Now I know there are a few models of civic that actually use this same engine but again they seem to be in short supply. Any ideas?
