Dry ice and a chisel brings that tar up easy if its hard. the tar in my car is still really soft for some reason I tried taking it off with no luck. Good luck on the project. I wasnt a huge fan of the ef hatchies till I got one, and they grew on me. Im currently doing a D16z6 boosted in my ef and its alot of work just make sure you have ALL the money for everything saved up before you start. I got half way through ordering my turbo stuff and ran outta money. Very stressful having your car sit for 7 almost 8 months waiting to find a decent motor then having to wait a few more months to save up enough money for the rest of your parts.

An LS/Vtec swap would be awesome in an EF, tuned at around 200. Just ask around and when you decide what swap to do research everything needed to make it work. Keep in mind tuning costs too if you choose to go ls/vtec or a boost application. Its very expensive but EXTREMELY important in eliminating detonation and keeping the motor in one piece. And be careful about where you buy your turbo stuff from. NO ebay turbos and watch out what wastegate and BOV you buy, lots of fakes and scammers
