Too vague.

What mods do you have, last tune-up, do you drive like a mad-man, what ECU, any Check Engine Light, any other issues with the car than what you listed, etc?

if you just got the car i would do routine maintenance and replace all the filters, fluids, etc. usually when people sell their cars they stop caring about it, that was the case for my car when i got it last year

Alss, pull the code from the ECU (search, faq, or google for this if you don't know how to do it) and post what code you are getting.
That may give you a good idea what sensor is tripping which may be leading to poor gas milage.

a typical reason for cel to come on after a few minutes of driving is the o2 sensor, which also would be a reason for bad gas millage

Where is your map?
Stock engine location is on the firewall.
Most motor swaps have it on the throttle body, BUT some swaps use the firewall one still and just not hook up the one on the throttle body.

Anyway, you can't do much to clean the firewall mounted MAP.
The throttle body one you can clean the port out and that's about it.

Can you check that again - that code doesnt' seem to exist in the troubleshooting info.

Stock gauge cluster?
Does your speedo work?

Without having seen it, it could be 1 and 17. Or 20 and 7.
Both are bad.

This shoudl be taken to a seperate thread.

First of all give us all your information. What ECU are you using?

Could be a bad plug wire. With the car running pull of one plug if it slow down and stalls, that's a good wire. If you pull off a wire and nothing happens, you have a bad wire or plug.

im having a similar issue and my friends at the shop are saying map/o2 sensor
see ive installed a new intake and we figure that the car doesnt realize how much air its getting now so its putting thru too much fuel for the fuel:air ratio

keep update with what happens please, i havent fixed mine yet

+1

You can inflate tires to max psi (whatever the manufacturer prints on the tire) it'll increase your MPG.
