Icon2 I bought a new lip!!!!

I just bought a "brand new" urethane lip on craigslist.. When i fit it on the car, the left side was perfect, but the right side seemed bent and the girl selling it said that it's "fixable" & "flexible"....

My question is, since I'm going to repaint my car later, should i put the unpainted lip on first.. let it mold and fit to the bumper? Then paint it?

Im thinking if i fit it AFTER i paint the car & lip... the paint might crack/chip....

Could somebody please give me some advice?? Is it supposed to fit perfectly? Or am i supposed to bend it/fit it on my car?? Thanks!!

get it mounted and fitted and then a few weeks later get it painted.
that will give it time to get all the kinks out of it

put it on and slightly heat it with a blow drier or heat gun. Helped with my lip! If not let it stay on the bumper for a week or two first.
