Looking around on a different thread from a while back I couldn't help but notice this center console. Its not the standard USDM or as far as i am aware JDM, nor is it the optional audio console. Anyone know what this console is from, and if so, where to get one? Thanks.

 

i believe that is the edm one i i remeber correctly there was a thread about this a while back. Try google. If i am wrong someone please correct me

I can only seem to find the JDM optional console on ICB, not the one from the picture. Also EDM console isn't giving me any good hits on google and such.

*Edit. If you guys are wondering why I'm so intent on finding this console it's because it retains the original style ashtray, which i turned into a illuminated ipod dock. But at the same time, i hate the gap the OEM brings. This seems to be my happy medium. MUST FIND!

Yeah.... no they don't. That'd definitely be the usdm optional center console, just like the one I bought right from Honda.

 

no its not, the usdm optional center console has the half sized ash tray and cig lighter on the bottom with a dual din opening for the stock radio and a pocket or stock radio and stock equalizer

Anyways, I have looked through the thread that was suggested (Before it was suggested). Alot of the talk about the UKDM console is in reference to dead links, so that's not helping me at all. There is a single picture of the correct console, but there isn't any real discussion about the part. Also, searches for UKDM consoles in google and various EG forums are coming up very empty. Ugh, this is turning into a wild goose chase haha.

 

And I said otherwise? JDM consoles have the ashtray on the right side and they're a bit larger, I think.

 

JDM optional console still has the half side ashtray. The only difference between the two as far as i am aware is what side the lighter is on.

 

I know that they are only half size, but I think that the right side of the ashtray is slanted to go with the contour of the console, whereas ours is a rectangle. Making the jdm ashtray a slight bit larger.

 

It's still not what I'm looking for though. I think i've made some progress. I need some people with a bit more knowledge than me to verify this console indeed comes from a VTi.

Huh, that one's for a RHD too! That'd definitely be cool. You should email the guy or whatever, I'm sure that if you paid for the shipping plus a couple of $ for his troubles, he'd be glad to ship it. Shipping won't be fun though.

 

You likely do not want an RHD centre console. The JDM ones (apparently) do not mount properly directly on to our LHD vehicles, so it is likely that an RHD UKDM one will not either.

Those tape holders are pretty sweet though.

Can anyone confirm this is from specifically a VTi? Or is this console just the standard UKDM optional one. Once I figure out what it really is, I should be able to find somewhere to buy it.

 

I highly doubt it's specifically from a VTi. I've seen pictures of the interior of VTi's and there hasn't been an audio console, so it's likely it was just removed from a VTi that had this as an add-on option.

The European EPC doesn't list it as standard equipment on a UK VTi.

Can you get a part number for it? That would be cool. Then you could order it from http://www.cmsnl.com/searchparts.php and pay an arm and a leg for it. But -- it would be brand new.

 

Sick console tho.
