I have a 91 dx harness in my car, with a 89 crx gauge cluster. I know that it will not work right, does anyone know how i could repin it to make it work. Or, should i just go ahead and buy one that will work for the car?

 

It would be easier to get the right gauge cluster then to have to repin it. Or If Im not mistaken go get the dash wiring harness out of the 89 CRX, pull your dash, unscrew the old harness, reinstall the new harness, put your dash back in, then plug ur cluster in.

But I could be wrong, I no you can take a 91 harness and stick it in an 89, but Im not sure if you can stick a 89 harness into a 91.

 

Yeah thats what i was thinking, my buddy has one i will try out to be sure that it will work.

 

its not the hardest thing to repin it

 

Why repin it, when he can just get the cluster that works.

 

ef cluster are easy to repin. I would just get both pinouts and do it. everything should work.
