New member and owner of a 2008 GPW s2000
Hello everyone!
I'm a new member and owner of an 08 GPW s2k. I'm part of the "other" clubs but first time on this site. I've had the car for about 6 months now and I love it! Here are my mods so far.
-OEM front lip spoiler and side strakes
-Injen cold air intake
-Neuspeed Xbrace
-ARC heat shield
-Tein hood dampers
-Red H badges
-Clear side markers
-Keyhole covers
-Sony Xplod head unit / Polk Audio 6.5"
-Archos 5 IMT
-Viper 5901 w/ 508D Proximity Sensor
Anyways just wanted to share my mini mods with you guys. I know my upgrades aren't as extravagant as some others but this is more my style.

Thanks guys! Yeah I couldn't decide between the Fujita, Injen, K&N FIPK. My local shop recommended the Injen, so I tried it, best $300 I have ever spent. The sound is superb and the "pull" in the vtec range is simply awesome. Since the filter sits only about 13" above the ground and located behind the bumper, I need to avoid any flooded areas when it rains. That is usually not an issue here in soCAL but may be where you guys are from. Hydro-lock would suck!! I added the Injen heat shield to block excess dirt and to shield any water that may drip onto the filter

Looks great! I'm a new owner too. just picked up a 2005 s2k and was looking to get started on some mods myself. your post has helped me think of what i would like to do first. thxs and welcome!
Thanks man! Next, I am thinking about buying a set of coilovers. I do not track my car, just street driving, looking to lower it about 1". I realize any upgrade to the suspension will stiffen the ride, but I would like the ride comfort to be as close to stock as possible. I am torn between the Tein Type Flex or Buddy Club N+ coil overs. I was told the Buddy Clubs are the best way to go, but wasnt sure what the diff was between all the Tein coilovers. Any suggestions??

springs will be fine - i went the neuspeed but that's quite a drop (1.75 - 2") - there's plenty of threads on this. Stock shocks are strong enough

Thanks for the suggestion guys! That was actually my original plan. I wanted to just get springs for now, and then upgrade to coilovers in about 2 years.
The only reason I want to get coilovers now is because I really don't mind spending a G on coilovers, even if it won't benefit me. I'm not saying I'm loaded or anything, but I make grown folks money so I can splurge. I don't plan on doing too much more to my car, except slap on some wheels later on, so might as well get a nice set of coilovers. But I do see the flip side as well....decisions, decisions!
But regardless, I like this site MUCH better than some of the other s2000 sites. People actually respond and answer your questions here. I actually got clowned on s2000.com for not having my car lowered haha douchebags

where did you buy your emblems? are they stick-on or are the tabs perfect fitment? awesome setup btw... mines silverstone and almost similar... go for coilovers.. imo, if you intend to keep the car for a long time, take care of the whole suspension and get coils... that's just my opinion though. keep it up!
