Default Accord SE, VP and where do I get an electrical grounding kit?

Hello Folks,

The other day I saw a Accord VP on the lot of a dealership. I am curious about this car. It has power nothing in it (i.e. no locks, windows etc) I read this fine post:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...4&highlight=vp and it was very informative and all but I am still curious.

Was the VP simply a rebadged DX that added power steering, AC and auto trans? Was this car created to simply increase sales of the Accord in the last year(or years) of the 6 gen by adding a comfy driving roomy midsize for a small amount of coin? Perhaps to appeal to potentional car buyers that were ether considering a Civic or perhaps could not afford an EX or LX or perhaps did not want power this or that in their car?

On the flip side, what is this SE? Is it simply a and LX accord that comes with alloy wheels, Sunroof, nicer seats, 6 disc cd/tape player and keyless entry? Was this model simply to offer a car that was priced above the LX but below the EX and yet offered some of the best loved features of the EX (i.e. Sunroof) at a cheaper price?

I have noticed that the SE seems to appear in the last year of the model before the next gen appears in show rooms. Is this a model/package that is created in the last model year of a given gen to grab a few last sales?

I noticed a reference to a grounding kit for the 98-02 Accord to compensate for the lack luster grounding set up of the 6th gen from factory. Where do I get one of these kits. I tried to google this but all I get are links to ground effects. I am not interested in "pimping out" my ride. I only want to get rid of that light flicker each time I turn on or use something electical (i.e power windows etc)

How is the over all build quality on the 6th gen? I read the listed above post and it talked about the fact that the quality of the 6th gen was not as good as past ones. Is this true, did I chose a gen of Accord that is going to be as prone to breaking down or has the same quality as an American car of the same period? I wanted a car that was easy to work on and only required regular maintainance. I could not find a decent looking 4th Gen and I am not really into the looks of the 5th and 7th gen and the 8th gen I can not really afford at this time.

Also I saw the listing of V6 quirks for the 6th gen but nothing listed for the 4cyl. So what are the quirks, problems or things to look for in the 2.3l 4cyl (both VTEC and NON VTEC)

Thanks

L
