What tires do you use?
I need a new set pretty soon and cant find the 205-55 R15 anywhere that is reccomended... whats a good replacement? preferably still on the 15 inch rim
Any of the Goodyear shops can get them, they just don't stock them. I just bought an OEM S-rated tire (205/55 R15) from Expert Tire (I think they are a national chain) for $100 each. The V rated jobs are about double the price.
If you're looking for alternative sizes while maintaining a 15" rim and same overall diameter, check out www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp
If you're looking for brands/models of tires, I like Kumhos.
If you're looking for a good place to buy tires, check out www.tirerack.com
hey kronn, thats a sweet link, most tire calculators just give you numbers but that gives you a really nice diagram too.
and another site to check out tires is www.tires-easy.com/ a huge selection with very good pricing

i love my Kumho Ecsta ASX. ive only got them to squeal once or twice. they are a great all-season tire. ive heard the tread wear isnt as good as they state, but at the price you cant beat them.
i use nitto neogens 205/30/16, superb grip so far. had some kind of toyo's before whn i got the car, i used to slide the hell out of them. i picked my nitto's up for 55 a peice
he hasnt even posted back to answer your question. The thread title says clearly, "What tires do you use?" and thats how we responded.
Here are some tires in that size:

I've heard a lot of good things about the Direzza Stars but I've been playing with some Toyo R888s here. They are very, very nice. Sure they might wear a little quick but at the track it's a world of difference over the Falken Azenis 615s I was running just prior.
Otherwise go for the cheapest, black, round thing that matches the size you need. The higher the treadwear number the better the mileage...
