Default Original Paint Question

I have a 94 Civic Milano Red that is starting to pink out in some areas. Is it harder to repaint with a different color or exactly the same? For the original Milano Red paint would they strip it down to the basecoat and respray over the basecoat with the same color or would they sand it down to primer?

If its the same price and difficulty I want ti repaint it white if not then Id be happy with glossy milano red paint.

all of your questions are REALLY dependant on who's painting your car. getting it stripped would probably cost a good amount more than just painting over. repainting the same color is cheaper and recommended because door jams ect dont have to be redone.

I am going to look for a painter but I would like to be armed with some general knowledge in case I get the run around. I was thinking of doing one of the Macco $1000 paint jobs as im not looking for show quality just a good DD.
