What do you want to know about ECU's for accords?
Yeah, I would rather turbo as far as forced induction goes on a F22.
Haven't seen any supercharger kits for them but if you know what your doing and really want to, you can easily adapt and mount a charger on there.

What is your long term goals for the car ? Forced induction, all motor etc. Do some research, set a power goal then purchase all your parts.

I have a AEM 1060 ems for sale, PM me if your intrested.

I am looking for around 300 hp. I have been looking for people who no what I would need for turboing but no one knows. But what will the AEM ems do for me and will it plug and play in my 1991 honda accord (F22a1), how much for it?

Oh Jesus Christ.

No one is going to spoon feed you. Do the damn research. Read the damn FAQ's. Go to the Forced Induction section and read the Turbo F thread. I mean seriously.

You're giving the impression you're a 16 year old who can't formulate a thought together.

I mean seriously, how do you think the other 90% of the section is able to find information about stuff? ALLL of it has been discussed thoroughly. From what ECU to use for H22 or turbo if you need a piggy back or not.

Why would you ask if a Prelude ECU will work on your car if you're considering turbo'ing? Did you bother to look at ANY of the information about how to turbo a car at all?

OP,

Are you in desperate need of an ECU to get your car running or are you looking for a good tuning option?

If your plans are to go turbo you will need a programmable ECU. The P12 would not be your best option. Ether a chipped and tuned OBD1 ECU from a 92-96 Civic/Integra or a standalone EMS. Such as the AEM or Motec units.

lol......TheMuffinMan,

You haven't noticed that this forum attracts the type of people who want to be spoon fed? Seems like no one knows how to do research anymore.

Oh yeah, "hell with me"

No , no that ECU will not work. Do research. Then ask a question. Don't go through craigslist and search for "prelude" and expect it to work.

Oh look a whole section about it

Why do you want a P12? It's a stock ECU that has very limited tuning capabilities.

If you would make up your mind as to what your goals are someone might be more inclined to help you. At the top of your thread you mention boost, now your talking A/M. Go do some reading and some research into the cost of an A/M 300whp build. Then come back and ask questions. I'm sure you'll drop all your aspirations for a 300Whp A/M F22.

A P28 is usually what gets used.

OBD1 > OBDI

Yes

You would run a F22a1 basemap on the chip for time being and could reflash the chip to suit a NA or turba need

I personally have a P75, chipped and converted to a fully working P72. It's fully loaded. I also have my P06 chipped and converted to a P28. But it doesn't have IAB control. That's why I went to the P72. VTEC and IAB.

What A lot of people are selling now are P06 ECUs chipped and converted to work like a P28. Works exactly the same for approx. half the price. Once the ECU is ready for a chip a tuner can make it do whatever you want it do.

You would have to get the chip reburned.

The thing you want to verify is that the ECU is SOCKETED without that it's a pain in the *** to do anything. The first P28 I had wasn't and when I tried to remove it saw how horribly it had been done. I bought a virgin and chipped it myself socket + ZIF socket so it's incredibly easy to reburn.

You're probably not capable yourself without buying the parts.

Socketed means it's in a socket and you can remove the chip.

You download the basemap, put the chip in a EEPROM burner and then burn the new info to it.

Look at Phearable.net for stuff, they are reputable.

Read Ghost's post, apparently those are the popular things, a P06 chipped to P28 which would allow you to use it.
