Ok, I am looking to get a header soon for my B16A and now that I saw that "Greatest Header Test" I saw they give relitvly the same Hp/Tq Gains. I am now wondering how much each header weights. I am posting on this board because the ITR's seem to be runnng these headers more so then other People on this board. I did a search and couldn't find a weight.

Also, has anyone gotten the JDM ITR, and cut all the brackets off, and reduced the sizing of the flange where it mounts to the head for reduced weight? It looks as if it is a very large steel flange and has some rom to be reduced. I may sound stupid for asking all these weight question but every pound counts in my book.

I am interested in this too especially in comparsion to the stock manifold.

 

Don't modify your header to make it more lightweight... leave it as it is...shed some weight off your car.

 

best mass produced header = Toda, IMHO.

JDM ITR header is about 1/2 the weight of USDM ITR header. Toda is a bit lighter... I think around 12-15lbs. Can't remember exactly, but we measured it along with Hytech which was only 1-2lbs heavier than Toda.

 

I have a DC JDM SS but i donīt know the weight.
The shipping package said 10 lbs.

any aftermarket header will weight alot less than stock cause they are not cast.
