Not sure where you are getting quoted $500 for bearings and rings from Acura. Bearings should be about $250 for mains, rods, and TW. Rings are about $28 per hole. ACL bearings are used quite often, but you will have much more work to do if you are trying to get all your clearances the same. ACL bearings set is $99 or less most places.

OP, do not order anything from that dealer. Get your parts here if you insist on oem.

Acura dealer mark up just because it's the acura dealer is insane.

Wow. Last time for me using oem was only a couple years ago.
Walking in to the dealer I paid apx 38 a hole for rings.
Rod bearings 12.64 a piece. Total for rod bearing set was like $101

Everytime I have ever used a standard Acl rod bearing set, the clearances on at least 2 rods read from as tight as .001 to bigger than .002.
You end up adjusting clearances with the appropriate colored honda bearing to get the nominal number you choose.
Scary to think of people just installing a std size acl set with no measuring or anything because the tolerances can come out all over the place.

You should want your numbers to be as even as possible all the way across, not using up the whole tolerance from tight to loose. Even if they are in spec.
