i need to find a how to guide on changing a 96 honda accord 4 clyd automatic steering rack and pinion i got an idea of what im doin but i wana make sure i got every thing i need i already bought the new rack with the inner and outer tie rod ends on it any help i would appreciate thanks SB

 

now that the new search is up and working do some searching. Search for things like "steering rack" and other phrases like it. Also search for phrases like "curb damage" and things similar.

the search for curb may not be obvious but I recall discussion like this in threads like that because of the damage from hitting a curb.

I know I've posted this info a few times before, so search and see if you can find it. If you cant find it I'll try posting back with some info.

any way to reup this link? i need this im changing the steering rack on my 94 EX today

 

I've tried a few searches but can't find something simple enough to understand. Removing a rack from a 1994 Honda Accord LX. I cannot figure out how to reach the lines. Do you come down from the engine compartment? I removed the fuel rail and can reach in there with a short wrench but don't have the leverage to break the nuts free.

I can't seem to get enough room either beside the rack and up through the hole in the subframe, or reaching over the subframe from behind.

 

I did one on a '95 V6 Accord, and I broke the nut loose from underneath reaching over the rear sub-frame. I had the car on a hoise, so things are a bit easier, but they are a PITA to work with.
