well bearing or caliper
i didnt really know where to post it and i dont think its a hybrid question so here it goes..
i have a 94 coupe and when i hit the brakes the steering wheel shakes voilently. when i press on them hard i hear like a "crunching" noise. i looked at my rotors and those are ok. could it be the wheel bearing?? or how bout the caliper?
TIA

i cant really explain the crunching sound....its just a crunching.. i remember that my crx had the same problem (without the steering wheel shaking). i changed my rotors and my brakes and the crunching noise didnt go away.
it wouldnt be the rear. its coming from the passenger side front. the steering wheel doesnt shake every time i brake. it shakes a little on the freeway too.. but not as bad as when i brake. what signs would i be getting if it were the wheel bearing?
