Okay so i got a 94 honda prelude It's got a H23/tranny, I bought the car with engine problems but I fixed the engine and now the tranny is questionable..

I took a test drive up the road and it wouldn't shift into 2nd gear everytime i tried to put it into 2nd it just grinded but then today I tried it again and it went into 2nd and only grinded a little barly at all. So my friend said it's probly the clutch/ throw out bearing.
But when I bought the car the guy said it had a new stage 3 clutch in it I don't know if it does maybe he was lieing I dont know, maybe the clutch needs to be bleeded again? Or maybe it's the tranny? HELP
