93 Accord H22 no vetec?
OK I have been doing B- series swaps for years and have never had any problems with VETEC engaging and we have completed a h22 swap into a 93 Accord first it was a auto then after some mods we went with a 5spd after the tranny swap we have lost Vetec and of course we looked for the obvious of wires coming loose and so forth and none of that has occured so my question is has anyone had this problem and if so what is the quickest way to troubleshoot this problem let me add we have plenty of oil pressure and if you jump the vetec sil. it will click so any help would be much apprciated of thanks from a little town in nc called ellerbe near the rock a very familiar dragstrip with people on the east coast know very well
Hi, I might not be of much help cause Im not so good at that stuff, but.....
How is your vtec connected? Did you cut any of the wire harness? or the harness at the ecu area? When you said mods, I dont know what have you done to it, so that info might help.
Back in the days we would set up a vtec switch and see if it came on. If it came on it might be a wire problem, if still no...could be problems with the parts

As far as mods i am meaning the usual header intake and exhaust everyone thinks they have to have and as far as wiring of course we used the factory wiring harness off accord and wired up our own vetec wires to ecu and dist. that you must complete we have done everything but what you mentioned with the switch and i quess that is our next step in troubleshooting we thought about that option and you helped make it clear that is our last resortthanks for your help dude
