Default piston to valve clearance?

I searched this topic, but couldn't find an answer. So I'm hoping u guys can help me.

If i put H22 Type-S pistons, DH racing headgasket, and flat faced valves in 1 of my H motors, either a JDM H22a or an H23a vtec, to raise compression will i have issues with piston to valve clearance or any other issues? If so, how would i go about solving that, by modifying the pistons themselves? I would be running skunk2 stage2 tuner cams with the setup, so it wouldn't be a stock piston to valve clearance. The DH racing headgaskets measure at .0014. So I'm under the impression the Type-S pistons would stick out farther than usual with that thin of a gasket and that aggressive of a cam, and maybe i should just stick with stock valves to see if they would have better clearance although i wouldn't gain a compression bump from them. Anyone got any answers?

If you do not have the time/ knowledge, don't do it, stay stock.

Once i get the procedure down pact, i'll def check em. Just wanted to know if anyone had answers beforehand. I'm not gonna do the valves anymore anyway, i'll go stock valves w/oem 2 layer gasket, and work with that.

I have a jdm h22 with bc stage 3 all motor cams, bc springs and retainers and dh racing headgasket and valves. I have no clearance problems at all degreed cams to i think 2 deg. adv.

no, do not run skunk stg.2 tuner cams w/ stock valve pocket pistons.

and stay away from dh racing alltogether.

i am running skunk 2 tunnner stage 2 cams with stock type s pistons
i measured the p2v with no head gasket and the head had been resurfaced and it had clearence ,it was tight probally like .008-.005 to tight but this was with no head gasket... so even with a head gasket it is close
but it was clearence,,,,it was also tested it with the cam gears agressive probally
more agressive than the cam would require......
i just broke the motor in too and have had no problems with p2v
i hit vtec more than once too,, i pulled the head no pitting on the pistons, valves look good...

stay tunned to dyno results on my set-up
it is an approx 12.0.1 cr motor,h22 on e85 with n20 also
