B16 timing belt & water pump Question ?
So i have a EM1 thats about to turn 105,000, and it is soon to be boosted. But I want to change the water pump and timing belt 1st. So my question is, Does everyone just suggest to use OEM Honda parts ? maybe a Greddy timing belt ? could i use some cheap azz water pump from napa or what ?
spend the extra money on the oem parts. better fit better quality. greddy belts are stronger but no performance gains. save the money for other things
oem parts if you like your car and plan to keep it and not swap motors.
cheaper aftermarket parts if a motor swap or selling the car in the future.

When I did my swap into my EJ1, I used NAPA timing belt and water pump because my family owns a shop and we get **** hella cheap but this time on my EM1 I picked up I just decided to get the OEM Honda ****. There is no real difference in quality, just personal preference.
if you care about you car alot, just bite the bullet and buy oem, youll have more peice of mind because there the same exact thing and honda quality
