Had to take on another project....
had to take on another side project because well we pretty much finished the last civic si...found this one on craiglist for four bills with a broken timing belt, 89 civic si with 266k...
we had another dohc zc laying about the shop so we promptly dropped it into the civic....

had faded paint and purple tint....

called in a detailer for a cut polish, may be hard to tell in pics but im telling you guys if you have faded paint always try for a good cut polish before shelling out for a paint job....the cut polish took care of most of the surface rust as well...

removed the purple tint...

nothing says safety like pop rivets to hold your seat rails to your seat pans....this ones fell out, if i ever find someone doing this ill have to knock there teeth out...we welded them on properly...

cleaned up the interior, removed the ghetto sub wiring.....

yup all that garbage came out of this car...

detailed engine bay....right down to the stock airbox, like we were never there....LOL

masking off the car to repaint the molding back to trim black, it was faded and ugly....

thanks for the compliments guys....yes there is trim paint at your local autoparts store for bumpers and trims....for the engine bay detail we got the fellow who did the cut polish, why not let the pro do it right, it was 40.00 for engine bay and 120.00 for the cut polish well worth it, ill post up finished pics tonight still finishing the trim...
