Default Just had car tune on s200 and have datalogger question

I got back from the tuner today and got my car off the trailer and it's got a CEL. I can't jumper the 2 pin connector to blink it now. I know my s200 has datalogging option but I didn't get the cable with me s200. Can I use a serial to USB cable? Or does it have to be the "Hondata serial/USB cord"?

The tuner is 3 1/2 hours away so I can't just take it back to him. What do I do? I have a serial/USB cord I got at Best Buy but I don't know if it will work.

Depends if he used Romeditor 3 or 4. If 4 you would need the Hondata datalogging cable. If 3 you can just plug up with the old but good, Hondalogger software and any old serial cable.

This is actually incorrect. The first question is if your s200 has the datalogging option or not. If it does not then you cannot datalog from it. If it does, then you need to determien if it was tuned with RE3 or RE4. RE4 can be datalogged through the RE4 USB cable or through a standard Serial cable (in settings). If it was tuned with RE3 then you must use Hondalogger to datalog via a serial cable (use a Keyspan USB to serial adapter if your laptop does not have a serial port).

Yes it has datalogging. It was tuned with RE4. SO I can justchange the setting and I should be able to use the cable I have? I didn't get the disk with my s200. So all I have the RE4 from the website.

Apoligize for the mis-statement. When RE4 first came out, I had tried to datalog with out the Hondata cable, and was not able to, never looked further in to it than that, Bought the Hondata cable, and never much messed with it again.

Thank you for clearing that up.

I believe the part number is USA-19HS?
