hi guys and ladies i just picked up a 92 vx hatch and have big plans for it (incoming build thread) and was wondering if ek sides bolt up to the eg or is there alot of work that needs to go into it pls help . 1st post so if this is wrong spot pls give a heads up for better spot

I think they need cut, there are probably a few threads on this and probably a DIY i'll see what i can find. oh and dont worry your in the right spot for this post.

you'll need to cut them a little bit but they should almost bolt right on!!

 

Thanks that helps alot and ill post pics soon. Car needs some love but for 800 and running strong i had to get back into a honda

 

corny mod. if you want ek sideskirts then get an ek.

 

For hatches, approximately 4" needs to be trimmed from the front. Most, if not all, of the clips do not line up, so you will need to drill holes into the lower rocker panel. Also, to make it a cleaner look, you will have to run mud guards or do some 'body' work on the side skirt to cap the front end you cut off.

yea wont fit directly onto a hatchback, but will bolt straight onto a eg coupe though, nice clean original looking mod

 

ewww ek skirts are on an ek for a reason !! its ugly IMO...really ugly...

 

i think the ek side skirts would only look good on a eg, if you put a mugen front lip, but yeah on hatches i believe you gotta cut about 3-4 inches.

Do eg mud flaps line up ? Was also wondering if anyone has pics and could post because ive seen the look from bad pics or far away, but i know i really dont like the eg sides .

 

I have EK 4dr skirts I tried fitting on my EG 4dr, and the EK flares out at the bottom of the fender where the EG doesn't and leaves a odd looking gap. No go for me.

 

just a simple mod! cut and trim it down!

 

yeah, a little cutting is due, but i think its worth it. They look really good in conjunction with a front lip and maybe some mud flaps to finish it off, also the mud flaps hide the cut on the front of the skirt. i got these on my EG and they look pretty good. i just had to drill a few holes in the front due to the clips not matching up, but some of the clips in the back matched perfect. Here are some pics of mine, i don't have the lips back on yet, and the car freakin dirty because it's in the paint shop, but I think they look great.

i got ek side skirts on my eg as well.. but im going to be removing them soon i believe.. not sure yet.. i kinda like them lol but good luck with yours man

 

From the pics they look 10 times better than the eg skirts so im kinda siked ,why u wanna take yours off btw ?

yeah you would need to cut a couple in. off the sideskirt. if you do a good job hopefully everything lines up.

 

i want to take mine off because im going full type r with my eg. type r lips/sides, paint, etc. but im broke now.. so obviously ek sides are going to be on.. they look pretty clean though. you can see them on my myspace.. myspace.com/performs
