Exhaust Wrap might create more horsepower and reduce under-hood temperatures. Wrapping headers maintains hotter exhaust gases that exit the system faster through decreased density. Increased exhaust scavenging is produced, along with lower intake temperatures.
But if the metal that header is made out of is anything less then quality it might rust faster then uncovered. Ceramic exhaust coating might be the better choice.

Supposedly you're flat out not supposed to wrap a ceramic coated header...because of cracking, if I remember correctly.

as stated above, it'll overall help but its HIGHLY recomended to change out the wrap every once in a while so that it won't hold any moisture when not in use and cause the header to crack.
