Alright I have been sifting through the nice HT forums and so far people have come close to whats going on but not really. It might be the shift solinodes OR the TCM but who knows.

I got about 230,000kms on my tranny, fluid is still nice and red. Now when im going on the high way it seems like it has some trouble getting into full lock up being going @ 110km/h im almost pushing 3,000RPM which i should only be going @ 2,200 or somewhere around there.

It sometimes goes into full lock up but then jumps right back out of it. I was wondering if you guys had any insite on this problem.

Accord EX 4dr Auto 95 2.2L

thanks

is your d4 light on?

check your connections to your tranny, see if any wires are loose. i was freaking out about my car noy revving past 4000 rpms, ended up staying up for 3 days partying, on the last night i got home at 4am, 100% sober started reading my shop manual, 574 pages later i found out that theres so many things that make the auto tranny work, including the AC system.

my problem ended up being that my tach was off, i pulled it down into 1st revved it to the limiter, hit it at 40mph... found a vid of another accord and at its normal rev line it was at 40mph...

I'm not sure if it's the same on a 95 as a 96, but I know when my thermostat wouldn't open or close (not sure how it works in conjunction to torque converter lock-up) the torque converter won't lock up. I noticed that after starting out on the highway I was having the same issue as you described. I researched it a little, and I guess if the thermostat isn't working properly the torque converter won't lock-up. Something else I noticed is that my heat was almost non-existent.

2nd on the tstat issue as the car will not engage lockup until engine is at proper operating temp. had the exact same issue and replacing the t-stat solved it.
