SFWD was an NHRA Sport Compact class that no longer exists but there is still Battle of the Imports and many local series. Your best bet is to figure out where you are going to be racing and to build accordingly.
yes, SFWD class no longer exists -- it is just a term that we all still commonly use to describe race bred Turbocharged FWD Street Cars
check with the tracks you plan on running at and they can let you know what you need or the sanctioning bodies that you plan on running with to find out what you need.
NHRA rule book is a good option as well to find standard safety rules that apply to all cars expecting to go 11.49 and quicker and then 9.99 and quicker or faster than 135 mph

Good deal! I know E-town some events like the spring and fall nationals with a sfwd class. Rules were pretty simple- 25" tires, 72mm max turbo, all glass, interior front seats forward.
wrd wrd, i guess im good to go 25" in full slicks? or can i run my 26.1 inch street mickey thompson's 235/50/15's? are there any motor/ transmission requirements? do they both need to be honda?
the etown rules follow a basic SFWD format. all nhra safety rules apply as far as the respective ET. 25" tire maximum, 72mm turbo maximum, no lexan, wheelie bars or 1 peice front ends. thats what i can think of off the top of my head. as we get closer to the events you will see flyers with the complete official rules.

Your manifold will be back to you soon man
As far as all the rules and saftey requirements go we offer a "sfwd" package since we have done so many of them. The package is $3650 and includes a full cromoly 10pt cage that we gaurantee will be cert'd and can even have done here if you like, custom stroud window net, kill switch setup, complete parachute setup including the stroud chute and a stroud cam lock harness installed.
This is pretty much everything that is needed as far as the chassis goes to be able to run at an NHRA approved track faster then 135mph and under 11.49 et's.

Alot of guys who got killer deals on cages usually end up bringing them here afterwards to be redone but either way good luck with your project man and if there is anything else you need let me know.
