Default 97 Honda Civic EX Problems, PLEASE HELP!!!

My girlfriend has own her 97 Civic EX coupe for about 6 months now. Recently she has encountered some problems that I'd like to get some help on.

1. Every time we turn the climate control on, there is this buzzing sound that goes along with the air noise. It's quite loud and annoying. What could it be?

2. Second everytime she step on the brakes, there is this weird squeaking sound that comes from right rear suspension. I thought something was wrong with the suspension but the weird thing it only happens when she steps on the brake and nothing else.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Bearing may have gone bad in the blower motor. Just a guess, its difficult to diagnose without actually hearing the noise.

that squeaking sound from the rear could be the breaks. even if their drums they still apply a little presure when you break like pulling the handbreak up lightly. its not often suspension squeaks, well iv never heard of it. but to make sure its the suspension try jacking the back end of the car up and lift the wheel up and down yourself and see if it squeaks?

After removing just three screws, the blower motor behind the glove box drops straight down (diagram below). You may find that the blower is filled with debris (leaves etc.) that are causing the noise. You can also then apply direct battery power to the motor to see whether it alone makes the noise.

As mentioned, take the rear drums off and inspect the brakes.

Rear brakes are worn-but some are just squeeky, getting excess dust out of the drums will help-, and getting the candy wrappers and popsickle sticks that the previous owners kids stuffed down the vents out of the heater fan seems to help with fan noises in most cases.
