im painitng my 99 civic bumper silver. right now its red with black primer over it. i have heard alot of diffrent sandpapers to use. ive heard: low 50, 400, 1000, 1500. so i was just asking here to see whats right. any help will be greatful. and when spraying the paint on should i do top to bottom or bottorm to top? thanks.

 

if you just need to sand the primer before you shoot the base I would suggest 600grit wet. Do side to side not top to bottom or bottom to top thats gay

I do top to bottom but thats my preference

 

wow that video that make it look so easy lol

 

better to start at the top of the car/panels.and remember to spray the edges of the panel first before you spray the main part off panels.
also p600-p1200 will be fine to paint over without any scratches showing threw ur silver etc.
