Cleaning the Carpet
My interior carpet is done for. Its a terrible mess, previous owner didn't use mats at all.
Besides having to remove all the molding, seats and center console, are there any other challenges to removing the carpet?
Also, can this thing be taken to the cleaners or just washed in a washer, or are there glued parts that will deteriorate. Replacement carpet aint cheap

my local dealer is having a promotion where they wash and clean your carpet for 50 bucks. maybe you can check your dealer. i thought it was a good deal considering all the product you have to buy anyways plus your time.
My carpet aint torn, but just in really bad shap filled with dirty and discoloration
might have to find someone to clean it while its inside
take it out and wash it down really good then use carpet spray and paint it thats what i did with mines and then went on handaaccessories and ordered the floor mats from them for 50something bucks and look good as new
send me the cash and ill go to majestic get it and ship it out for you. Just throw me an extra 50$ for my time lol.

I took my entire carpet out, soaked and scrubbed it with automagic
borrowed my grandpas truck, tossed it in the back and drove up to a car wash, and took it to the self wash part. and pressurewashed it with hot water.
looks brand new.

If you're going to soak the carpet, take it out of the car before cleaning it. Afterwards, make sure it's dry before putting it back in. You don't want the carpet underlay to be wet while it's in the car. This is because the carpet has a waterproof plastic layer that won't let water escape from the underside of the carpet.
Anyways, I think you should try cleaning it first then if that doesn't work, go buy a new piece. You might have some luck if you go to an autowrecker. Most carpets will be all moldy from rain but you might find a good one if the car is a new arrival.

EDIT: I find you can find some really reliable cars from a junkyard just not the cleanest.
Also a guy mentioned to me of a product called "folex" I heard it was the bomb.
Take that **** out, hang it on a fence and hose that **** down with everything you got. Then pressure wash the fu.ck out of it, let it dry, reinstall and treat yourself to new floormats. You deserve it after all that work and your car will thank you.
I took my home Bissell Big Green carpet cleaning machine to my used Civic. The previous owner had kids and the seats and carpets weren't pretty.

Here's the after cleaning the carpets and seats:

Used it in the trunk too:
