Default Darkest Black Paint

I am going to paint my car soon and I would like to paint it black

I do not want anything that has to do with metallic/pearls

I want a dark black. I know there was a thread about this about half a year ago but honda-tech search engine sucks now.

If you can provide a picture and paint code i'd appreciate it.

I searched Google for "blackest site:honda-tech.com". Try this next time since the search so often sucks.

I think the second post might be what you're looking for though.

Heh.

I guess it all depends on what you mean as in the blackest?

If it's just black you want. Any black will do, because black is black.

If it's deep shine you want. Try using black candy over a dark metallic.

I also heard once from someone that you can spray black, then mix some black in the clear, and on each layer mix a little less black into the clear untill you spray the last coat or too, as just straight clear.

Don't know if it works or not, just heard it somewhere. Can't remember where.

If you tint the clear it almost makes the clear like a candy.

jet black is a nice black. but all blacks are pretty much the same unless you add pearl or metallic flakes in it.

I believe Sherwin Williams makes the darkest black paint. I worked at a race shop that painted Dale Earnhardt Sr. show cars. His cars were said to have the blackest black paint available and it was made by Sherwin Williams I think.
