I have a 95 civic DX hatch and I tried resetting the SRS light with the yellow plug and paper clip method but for some reason the SRS light is still on. I know I did the method right. Must be something wrong with the SRS ECU or airbag/s. Any suggestion before i take the airbag out to see if its ok?

 

Chipped ECU or remove bulb from cluster.

Paper clip method should work, but it didn't for me. I just removed the bulb from the cluster. I have a Grant wheel anyway.

 

I had an SRS ECU fail on my '94 Si after about 225K miles. Unfortunately, I replaced (3) cable reels before I figured that out. Even Honda diagnosed it as a bad cable reel after the 2nd one failed to fix the problem. I won't get into how much I spent on reels and a code scan from the dealer.

Got the replacement ECU from a pick-n-pull for $10. Just be easy on it when you remove and and don't take it from a car that's been in huge accident.
