I'm really contemplating on my eg sedan as a chassis since I already have it but I'm kind of a heavy guy and it's already hard enough for me to get out of it without a cage, I have to slide the seat back to get out . With a 2/3 door I have easier access due to the longer door but that means more money. Anybody got some pics of caged up sedans so I can see how the door bars sit with the driver's door? Anyone with swingouts?

 

look at it this way, the bar is supposed to pass midway between your elbow and shoulder. i myself am a fat ***, and a removable steeringwheel helped out immensely.

We did a really nice one in a jtech's blue 4 door. Hopefully they have some pics of it cause i dont, lol.

 

Yes they did, NRG Tech, miler did an awesome job for our car which is a 4-door Civic. We are going to try to put some pictures up so you can take a look.

Yeah it's built around a 5'11" 160lb lad...

Quick release wheel would work wonders for a bigger lad.

I posted some pics of Jtech's 4 door. Do a search on HT, I posted it in a forum with a 4 door here in NJ that runs mid 10's. I thinks the civic is CLM's or something if I'm correct. I'll try to get some up soon.

 

Not to thread jack, but since we are talking cages whats an average cost for a 6 or 8 point cage installed in an EK coupe? Not looking for an exact number just a ballpark figure.

 

6 points we charge $1000 in a honda and are done in 1 day. 10pts are next and they are $2250 those price are in cromoly. We only do cromoly when its a drag chassis.
