Default EG help couple of questions....*****

1. In the morning when the car is cold it wont start for nothing, i have a coolant leak somewhere and i have to put coolant in it everyday, after i put the coolant the engine starts right up... Could it not start because of the coolant that is lost through the leak?

2. The leak is coming from next to the block in the bottom right from right next to the pulley that's in the bottom, How can i fix that leak?

BUMP IF YOU VIEW PLEASE
Someone help me...

PS: The engine is a b16a with a gsr tranny on a 1994 honda civic vx.

Waterpump stuffed? I bought an EG6 with a stuffed waterpump, the guy had been topping the water up everytime he moved it for six months! Didn't take long to pump it all out.

I agree. The water pump is leaking. Replace it ASAP before you overheat and destroy the engine.

I really only B Series, but probably if you're looking from the left hand side wheel well, it will be on the right hand side of the engine block, and up a bit. It will be quite hard to see, the cambelt runs around it. They wear out after a few hundred k's or so

So the leak is coming from the water pump?

Also is this why it's not starting in the morning when its cold?

Behind the timing belt covers. You'll need to remove the dreaded crankshaft pulley bolt to access and replace. As mentioned, also replace the timing belt and tensioner while the pulley is off.

if its leaking from the water pump you wont be able 2 see the water pump until after you remove the accessory belts and timing covers. might as well replace the timing belt and tensioner while you are in there.

It's quite possible. Low coolant levels would likely prevent the coolant temperature sensor, FITV, and IACV from functioning properly.

If you are willing to educate yourself about replacing the timing belt and are willing and able to take on a mechanical challenge, the job can be done at home.

I think "*****" is a fair description of the crank bolt.
