hello everyone! i recently did a swap on my car. i own a 95 EG coupe and i put a B18C1 motor and tranny in it. the swap came with: motor, tranny, axles, ecu, wiring harness, full exhaust and stock filter box. the car runs fine no check engine lights... but my question is the following: should i change my radiator and fuel pump? i'm still using the ones that were on the car. i haven't seen anything about this on the swap topics, thats why i'm asking. any help would be greatly apreciated!

You would be fine,if its not broken don't fix it.

 

radiator should be fine, i would personally upgrade the fuel pump as the gsr needs alot more fuel and if u ever want to get more HP you will be ready with ur pump.

 

thank you guys for your answers. it makes sense. i'll change my fuel pump and radiator just to be safe. the motor that was in the car before was the D15B7 so i guess it make sense changing my fuel pump now that i went from 1.5l to 1.8l. one of my friends told me not to change the pump because it pumps at the same pressure. is this true? or he doesn't know wtf he is talking about?

 

I dont think you need to replace your radiator if its cooling your engine fine but if you have the money and if it will reassure you that your car is dependable then I'd say go for it.

 

the civic radiator seems to be working fine. i have no cooling problems, but i was thinking of changing it because its very tiny in comparison with the GSR one. i just want to make sure everything is done right because i'm also trying to REF my car by passing the BAR inspection. i have all the parts already because i bought a whole car for my swap. the doner car i used was bought from an insurance auction and the car was rear ended very bad but the front end is perfect.

The civic rad works fine, but if you want to replace it get one from a '94 - '97 Del Sol Vtec or a '99 - '00 Civic Si. Both are dual core half sized rads designed for a B-series engine and have the larger B-series inlets. They also conviently fit exactly like the stock rad. As for the fuel pump a friend of mine has a '92 Si with a GS-R swap, chipped and dyno tuned and its not leaning out, although it certainly wouldn't hurt to install an intergra fuel pump or an aftermarket walbro unit.
