So i know my compression is beat cause i cant feel the blow by from the oill cap whenever i take it off. So im driving this girl home and i was on the highway and the check engine light starts flashing repeatdily at me and wouldnt go back to solid . Yea i know its bad to drive it on a blinking gun. I checked my wires on the distributor and to the head. anyone have any suggestions. Also someone adjusted my valves wrong awhile ago and then i took it to my buddy and he did they right do you think its out again?

 

car year motor? all these are good things to have in a post.

 

if it is flashing you have a missfire. figure out the hole thats missing and ee why it is missing.

if the valves are too tight they can burn and cause a miss.

 

its a 97 honda civic hatch d16y7 dx. I pulled all the spark plugs out . The one clostest to the distributor was pitch black. And the other three were white. I dont know if that helps you guys. I replaced all the spark plugs but it still seems sluggish. It doesnt sound as much like a wrx anymore i just did a tune up like 2 months ago.
